1st change your name on your Social Security Card. Allow 48 hours for the system to update before changing your name at the DMV.
You may go to the United States Social Security Administration website at www.ssa.gov and complete the application and hand deliver it with other supporting documents to the Social Security office that serves your area.
2nd change your name with the Department of Motor Vehicle in your area.
